PROGRAM NOTES
This piece was written in an attempt to capture minimalist tendencies in a joyous choral work. The piano ostinato continues to drive forward while the chorus grows, moves in new directions, and eventually climaxes on one glorious “Halleluja.” The piece speaks of singing praises and filling the sky with sound, and in singing so the choir builds dramatically and fills the sky with its own sound.
