PROGRAM NOTES
Trumpets are such lyrical instruments. This duo was written expressly to give two trumpets the opportunity to shine unhindered by accompanist or ensemble. The melodies and rhythms of this duo are meant to be jocular. An energetic refrain interjects several sprawling melodic lines to create this rondo. Duo Rondo was commissioned by Trombamoré, close friends and an amazing trumpet duo in their own right.
